Zoar PAGE 1   2

The biggest lie in Zoar is Alexander Gunn! A lie that has been going on for 120 years since 1900. Prior to 1900 Alexander Gunn was not a lie. Everyone was aware he was a fraud. Alexander Gunn never owned anything in Zoar! Nothing! No ownership and that is straight from court house records. However, he had a short time frame to own anything anyways. From the Zoarite sale to his death was 2 years, give or take. He was not a rich Cleveland industrialist. He worked at a hardware store in Cleveland for 30 years! He was a store ''clerk''. Nothing wrong with that, but that wasn't good enough for Gunn. Gunn
did have some friends who he met through the owner of the store he worked for that were part of the gay gilded age of wealthy industrialist. Gunn never owned the Zoar brewery and never owned the Hermitage,
but he did rent the Hermitage a few months out of several summers.

The heritage was a shack! And the reason he rented it was because the Zoar hotel was to expensive to stay any length of time. My favorite Gunn lie is when he has his picture taken in the Library of Congress in about 1885 give or take. The library of course is open to public even more so in the 1880s.'' This picture shows up on Zoar historical pictures with the caption ''Gunn sitting in Zoar brewery library reading. It even says he turned the brewery into a library! This guy never did shit! I like when they show pictures
