One of the locals confidently claims that this ghost loves startling foolhardy folks who are fearless enough to upset the tranquility in Carlsbad. The spirit of a man sporting a law enforcement uniform became visible at South Carlsbad State Beach taking a moonlight-hour swim. Many folks nearby have had equivalent experiences involving a very similar ghost.
