A luminous human shape was perceived tossing stones into the water at Cottonwood Creek around midnight. When the ghost was spotted it faded away into the air. Folks here say that this spirit is that of a resident who had a house here in Thoreau many years ago.

The ghost of a youthful guy in a jacket has often been spotted in Continental Divide Historical Marker late in the night dragging a body over rocks. In any case, it's a chilling ghost that you do not want to run into after midnight.
