A huge doe has supposedly been perceived on many occasions by Hediger Dam around midnight staring at the water.
A headless man can every so often be seen shouting in the middle of South Fork Whitetail Creek. One thing is for certain, this is an unsympathetic phantom that is preferably not disrupted.

The ghost of a surgeon with a bloody uniform is regularly seen on the highest spot of Long Butte in the early morning hours before sunrise watching the vista. If you listen to the residents, this ghost may be the spirit of a local who died here in Whitetail many years ago.

An extremely large dormouse has purportedly been observed on one or two instances in Flaxville Waterfowl Production Area at the stroke of midnight concealing a corpse by a large rock.
The ghost of a gentleman carrying a bloody axe can repeatedly be distinguished very late at night checking out Goodale Coulee in detail. Based on what the locals allege, this ghost may perhaps be a recognized days gone by dweller of Whitetail.
