Ghost Sightings From Atlantic

Doctor Rueprecht, please help me. I'm seeing double. - Ok Arthur, let's take a look at that, why don’t you have a seat on that chair so I can examine you. - The one on the left or the one on the right?. Hey over here Arthur, it's me Delbert I'm here on the other side of the river! - Oh yeah, how have you been, long time no see. How do I get to the other side of this river? - Are you stupid or something? You ARE on the other side. When the small town built a new bridge they installed a traffic counter to monitor traffic flow. The counter was getting close to the million mark, so they thought it would be a good idea to greet the millionth car an give him a prize. The counter read 999,999 and the sheriff and the mayor was standing by for the next car and here it came. - Congratulations sir, you are the 1,000,000 th car to cross this bridge, you win $1,000. - Wow a thousand bucks, yippie, I'm gonna go to driving school with that money and get myself one of them drivers licenses said Arthur. - Don't listen to him, said his wife Gertrude in the passenger seat, he's drunk. - I told you we wouldn't get far in a stolen car, said Delbert from the backseat. Arthur was going about his days with his wife Gertrude when he noticed that she wasn't responding to him anymore when he called her. He had to get right up next to her for her to hear him. Concerned, he went to Doctor Rueprecht and asked him if it could be that his wife was going deaf. The doctor agreed it was a possibility and suggested he go home and try calling her from different distances to see how bad it actually was. So Arthur went home and while his wife was making dinner, he called to her from the living room - ''Gertrude, what are we having for dinner?'' No answer. He stepped a few feet closer and called again - ''Gertrude! What are we having for dinner?'' Again, no answer. He was getting worried. He walked to the kitchen door and again asked, ''Gertrude! What are we having for dinner?!'' Again! No answer. Upset and nervous, Arthur stepped up right next to her and again posed the question - ''Gertrude, what are we having for dinner?'' She turned around and said, ''For the LAST TIME - MEATLOAF!!'' .
