Ghost Sightings From Eaton Center
Hey Arthur, I got a phone call from Douglas yesterday.
- Wow, Douglas, I haven't heard from him in decades. So he's still alive.
- I don’t know, he didn't say anything about that.
At the height of a political corruption trial, the prosecuting attorney attacked Arthur who was a witness. ''Isn't it true?'' he bellowed, ''that you accepted ten thousand dollars to compromise this case.'' Arthur stared out the window, as though he hadn't heard the question. The prosecutor again shouted, ''Isn't it true that you accepted ten thousand dollars to compromise this case?'' Arthur still did not respond. Finally, the judge leaned over and said, ''Sir, please answer the question.'' ''Oh, I thought he was talking to you'', Arthur said.
Arthur had been a car mechanic ever since he dropped out of high school, he died young at the age of 34. When he met Saint Peter at the gates of heaven he asked:
- Saint Peter, why did you let me die so young?
- Well now Arthur, based on how many hours you've been charging your customers according to your accounting records you are 95 years old.
Douglas is 34 years old still single. His best pal Arthur asked, ''Why aren't you married? Can't you find a woman who will be a good wife?'' Douglas said, ''Actually, I've found many I wanted to marry, but my mother doesn't like any of them.'' Arthur thinks for a moment and says, ''I've got an idea , just find a girl who's just like your mother.'' A few months later they meet again and his friend asks, ''Did you find the perfect girl? '' Douglas answers, ''Yes, I found the perfect girl. She was just like my mother. My mother liked her very much.'' Since Douglas doesn't look happy, Arthur said, ''Then what's the problem?'' ''My father doesn't like her.'' , Douglas replied.
