The ghost of an elderly lady carrying a firearm was made out struggling to dump a corpse in Stantial Bog very late at night. When distinguished the spirit came up to the onlooker who then escaped.

The ghost of an old Indian chief appeared up on the highest spot of Aborn Hill carving an outlet. There are further accounts about this spirit in the vicinity. Some of the locals claim this ghost is probably the undeceased ghost of a resident who used to live here in Thorndike.
    
A black as coal rat that transformed into a female was witnessed gazing at the water by Sandy Pond Dam around midnight. Several folks close at hand have had comparable events involving an almost identical spirit. If you talk to the folks who live here, this ghost is the tormented spirit of a long departed Thorndike local.

The ghost of a youthful woman outfitted as a maid was observed watching cable in a Thorndike living room late in the night. This phantom is exceptionally active in this vicinity; there have been a handful of additional accounts of this exact phantom.

The phantom of a down-and-out man is often distinguished in Frye Mountain State Game Management Area at night covering a dead body by a big rock.
